Hailing from the city of Chicago (and a few of the burbs), Veilside in its' current form has been a force on the Chicago music scene since 2006. Combining influences from across the musical spectrum, Veilside is a modern melodic rock band in the vein of their influences Nickelback, Shinedown, and Black Stone Cherry. In March 2009, the band was named "Best Original Band" by Suburban Nitelife Magazine. Their first EP, "Chapter One" was released in 2008 and to date has sold over 4000 copies. Not resting on their laurels, Veilside once again entered the studio to begin recording a much more ambitious CD titled "This Time..." with producer Chuck Alkazian (Slipknot, Elton John, Cristina Aguilera) at Pearl Sound Studios which was released in 2011. The CD featured 5 new Veilside originals and their popular hard rock cover of the Kansas mega-hit "Dust in the Wind". In May 2013, the band decided to work with Subclass Studios in Chicago to record their highly anticipated 3rd EP "Meanwhile..." which was released in Sept 2013.  Their most recent CD - an acoustic EP titled "Intermission" was released in September 2015.   Veilside also won the 2011 "Bandemonium" hosted by 95 WIIL Rock (Kenosha) FM Radio, and has shared the stage with many notable national acts including current powerhouses Five Finger Death Punch, Halestorm, Alter Bridge, Hinder, and Black Stone Cherry, to classic rock acts like Dokken, Nelson, Great White, Sebastian Bach, Warrant, Skid Row, and Lita Ford. Veilside is a very strong supporter of children's charities, having donated time and money to the Kelsey Briggs Foundation Against Child Abuse, Headstones for Angels, and the National SIDS Organization, as well as hosts the annual "Breaking the Silence" Autism Awareness benefit show which raises funds for autism awareness.  Now going on its TENTH year, the event has raised over $116,000 for the cause!

Wrapping up a fantastic 2017.......

We're wrapping up a fantastic 2017 - the feedback on our latest work, "Eclipse" has been fantastic and we're extremely proud it being so well-received.  We have 3 shows for December, our first being our first trip on Dec 1st (that's a lot of firsts!) to the Arcada Theater to share the stage with FIREHOUSE and WINGER.   A sold out crowd and we absolutely loved the response!   We're in Sturtevant, WI on Dec 9th with our friends in ELECTRIC REVOLUTION and then at HOME Bar in Arlington Heights, IL for our end of the year Christmas jam with our good friends JAAX and POP MACHINE.  We hope YOU have had a great year as well, and we hope you'll come out to a show to see us soon!!

Don't forget, you can order YOUR copy of "Eclipse" at all online retailers (for digital downloads), or you can go to the STORE tab right here on our website and order the hard copy (for those that still love CDs) and if you put it in the notes, we're happy to autograph the copy for you!!

Looking forward to 2018!!

Here's a shot from our Dec 1st show at the Arcada Theater

Eclipse is released!!

Saturday we kicked off the first of TWO CD release parties for our first full length disc, "Eclipse".  Thanks to our friends in PIPE and PROFITS OF METAL for joining us on the occasion, and thanks to many of our friends within the Chicago music scene for coming out and helping us!   On Oct 7th, we head to our "second home" at The Music Factory in Battle Creek, MI and we're bringing our friends in SHOKKER with us as well as good friends SXX from the area.   On Oct 9th you can order your own copy of "Eclipse"  right here from our website!!   Stay tuned!   A few shots of the CD release show:

Ron and Tony present Joe Tiberi of Apothica Studios with a plaque to thank him for his hard work on the new disc.

It's Official!

So we've been buried in the studio working on our 5th commercial release, and FIRST full-length disc called ECLIPSE!!

And like the namesake, this past Monday we released a sneak peek of one of the tracks called WASH, RINSE, REPEAT on YouTube (Seriously - go check it out!!).   The CD will be officially released on SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 30th at TAILGATERS in Bolingbrook, IL.   Pre-orders will begin soon!!   More info as we get closer!

Last weekend we took the stage at ROCKFEST in Cadott, WI.  What a blast!!   It was hot, humid, the air so thick it was hard to catch our breath.   But the fantastic crowd willed us through that performance, and we were extremely honored by the kind words after our set.  To all that stopped by, it was a pleasure to meet you!!  Cadott is a special place, this was our second year at the festival and we hope we're invited back for a third year!!  Also on the bill with us was HELLYEAH, MEGADETH, SHINEDOWN, ROB ZOMBIE, and more!!

Home stretch......

So we're entering the homestretch on the tracking of our upcoming CD (as yet untitled, although we have kicked around a few ideas).   And in order to maintain our progress, our show calendar will be light for a few months so we have time to get all the work in.  We did however, get back downstate after quite some time of not making the trip down there and had a fantastic time at a club called Winner's Lounge in Bloomington, IL.

(Veilside at Winner's Lounge May 6th, 2017)

Next up for us is another show with a cause near and dear to our hearts as we have been asked to be the entertainment at this year's Little Angel's Pledge Run at the Woodstock Harley Davidson on Sunday May 21st.    If you can, join us and help us raise money for a great cause!!

Our ninth annual BTS was yesterday, and broke yet another fundraising record!!   We raised just north of $27,000!!    To the bands that joined us for the event, the musicians who jumped on stage to jam with us during our set, the volunteers, work staff, and everyone who came out - THANK YOU!!   That was an amazing show, and is easily the most heartfelt event of the year.   Here's a shot of just SOME of the folks who came out yesterday to support!

Now we're back to work on our FIFTH CD......which is still as yet untitled, but we CAN tell you it will be Veilside's first FULL LENGTH disc!!  We haven't decided on the total number of songs yet, but we'll have more news to share as we get closer!!   And we hope to have that soon.....stay tuned!!

Another year rolls.....

Just got done playing ROCK N REVOLT along with Autograph, Lita Ford, Kip Winger, and Jack Russell's Great White.  What a great time!  Rock n' Revolt did it up just right and every band had a great set!!  Next up, a long-awaited return to Cheers Pub in South Bend, IN followed by the trip out to this year's NAMM Convention in Anaheim, CA - which means we're currently in full swing!  We're still writing new songs for upcoming CD and we'll report from the studio when we get in to do the next set of tunes.  In the meantime, stay warm, and come out to see if a show if we're in your neighborhood!!  Here's a shot from Rock N' Revolt (and thanks to our friend Robert Behnke of LAVA Rock for use of his kit for our set.....)

Five? FIVE!?

Well the clubs are opening back up after the great summer festival season, and while we're going to be involved a little, we're starting principal recording on our fifth CD - as yet untitled - for release in 2017.  What an incredible year and it's not even over yet!!  Stay tuned for more news to come!

Here's a shot from our October show in Battle Creek, MI

Some big plans in store, and if we get even HALF of these executed, we're in store for a very good 2017!!  You guys stay safe and we'll see you soon!!

Summer's moving along!!

We had a great time out at Rock Fest in Cadott, WI alongside Five Finger Death Punch, Slipknot, In this Moment, and more.  We followed that up with a trip to "Burning Cow Festival" in Sturgeon Bay, WI.  This week, we recorded an episode for Psychobabble TV at Comcast studios, and next week we're direct support for Vince Neil, before finally a home show at Broken Oar with some very good friends in Friction, Lava Rock, Cinful, and Wolfgang.  We're also coming up upon the one year anniversary of guitarist Tom Finnelly's death, and we wanted to do a tribute to him the right way.  Make sure you come back to the page next week as we'll have the final song we recorded with Tom (it didn't make it's way onto the last CD) available to listen to.  We hope everyone is having a great summer and we hope to see you at a show SOON!!

BTS 8 breaks new records!!

Our EIGHTH annual Breaking the Silence autism awareness fundraiser broke a new record with $18,000 raised for the cause - bringing our total to $86,000 raised in the eight years we've hosted this festival!!  Not only that, we had a GREAT surprise when Mark Slaughter joined us on stage for a rendition of "Fly to the Angels"!!
Thank you to EVERYONE who helped us raise this money!!  We'll be sharing the stage with Mark again at FARM ROCK NASHVILLE in June!!

Next up, we're going to put the finishing touches on a new internet-only single we're going to release soon and then we're getting ready for the last few club shows before the summer season begins.  Hope to see you out at a show!!
